Brad and the crew did an awesome job creating our new entry stair rail system!  We had been looking at options for the railings for quite some time on the internet.  We called Darby Stairs along with a couple of other stair specialists to see if what we were envisioning was feasible.   One company disregarded our thoughts, one quoted just what we wanted, but Brad heard what we wanted and explained the problems with our design and recommended a solution.   When we received the price from Darby Stairs, we were shocked!  Not only was his solution more involved than the others, but his price was $2,000 lower than his competition!  We looked hard at the gallery of his work and saw no reason to be concerned that the workmanship would be second rate.

We signed the contract with an expected lead time of about 3 weeks.   A week later Brad called to see if we could be available for the installation a week sooner than promised.   It worked for us, so they got started later that week.   They arrived on time and went straight to work on the project.  We had pre-selected the color, so they did the stain at their shop.  They worked hard and efficiently throughout the day to complete the project in the promised 1 day schedule.

We are extremely pleased with the work and service that Darby Stairs and Renovations provided, and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who asks.  A neighbor is also in need of new stair railing and stopped by to see if he liked what they did - he'll be calling them soon.

After interviewing 4 other companies, Brad was easy to work with, listened to what I wanted and continued to communicate throughout the process. Darby Stair Renovations transformed our 20 year old builder quality stairs and railings. We had spoken to several floor contractors that offered to stain our existing rails, balusters and posts but wouldn't replace. Brad's crew handily replaced our existing oak railings, posts etc with maple and modified the stair case to be open one side. The communication was excellent, the team was timely and left no mess. I had a really good experience with Darby stair renovations. From initial quote request to follow up, the communication was great at every step. I told them my ideas and they showed me pictures of some past projects, and I was able to show them exactly what I wanted. The end result is exactly what I was looking for. The stair case is amazing looking now, I couldn't be happier with the finished product, the attention to detail and craftsmanship is apparent with what they deliver.
